This is the official site for the Wooster Soccer Association.
We are located in the Northeast Ohio region, serving Wayne and surrounding counties. Our club's steady increase in participation constantly stretches the limits of our facilities at the Wooster Soccer Complex located at 100 Oldman Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691.
Our growth is achieved through the development of quality youth soccer programs over several years, by people dedicated to Wooster Soccer. Additionally, the influx of youth teams from surrounding communities like Chippewa, Cloverleaf, Hiland, Hillsdale, HolmesCounty, Northwestern, Norwayne, Orrville, Smithville, Rittman, Triway, and Waynedale, have all played an integral part in the positive growth of our club.
W.S.A. through Wooster Parks and Recreation supports Recreational teams for all ages ... or... whether you call it Select, Premier, Travel or Club – the Wooster Edge teams provide great competition and great training for the player that wants more competition and is willing to make a bigger commitment to their soccer development. The Wooster Soccer Association and the Wooster Parks and Recreation Department proudly announce the creation of a new Adult Outdoor Soccer League.
This is a grassroots effort to revive the long tradition of adult soccer in the Wooster and surrounding areas. We are working hard to create a league that will be fun, accessible, and grow in the future. No matter your skill level, fitness level, age or gender, if you like soccer — or if you simply want a fun way to get some exercise — then this league is for you.
Competitive, Recreational, and Co-Ed Teams are welcome (the extent and number of different divisions will depend on the number of teams registering this first season, but every league starts somewhere and you don’t want to miss the beginning of this fun new program)
Games will be played on a smaller field with 8 players per side, including goalkeepers; this will allow as many teams to participate as possible
There is no limit on roster sizes or substitutions
Adults and High School Juniors and Seniors may participate in the league, so long as each team contains some adult players
All games will be played on Sundays after 4:30pm at the Wooster Soccer Complex Fields, located at the corner of Burbank and Oldman Roads
Spring Season will consist of 8 games played from April 13 to June 8, 2014 (no games will be played Memorial Day weekend, May 25, 2014)
The price is $250 per team, which includes all 8 games and all Referee fees
Registration deadline is March 31, 2014 (FOR REGISTRATION FORM GO TO THE "DOCUMENTS" TAB ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE WOOSTERSOCCER.COM HOME PAGE)
If you are a “free agent” player in search of a team,
Although tryouts are over, many Edge teams can still take some additional players. If you are interested in playing competitive soccer contact us for a scheduled tryout if openings in your age group exist.
